Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are a group of painful muscle, tendon, and nerve disorders. They are usually associated with the physical demands of work tasks that are frequent and repetitive, or tasks performed with awkward posture. This module explains how applying ergonomic principles can protect workers and reduce the risk of these types of injuries.
List an occupation that may be prone to Musculoskeletal Disorders. Explain why you selected the occupation.
Record your answer in your Student Workbook and then discuss your thoughts with another student. This topic will be discussed further in Module 2-2.
