It’s all about mastering the basics.  

All around the world is filled with incredible people who have mastered their chosen careers and strive for higher learning.  None of this is attainable without learning, applying and understanding the basics of any career.  

Digital Media encompasses a huge and challenging field of work that is both rewarding and satisfying for any creative type who wants to step up their game.  In year one, we teach you all about the 3 phases of film production.  We also train you on how to handle a small armada of video equipment that you will need in order to begin filming short films, documentaries, eCards, Stop motion, Interviews and more!  

Most importantly of all we teach you all about the process and design of Cinematic Story telling.  No movie that ever made it big was bad at telling a story and we will cover this topic all throughout the entire year.  The best movies ever made were amazing solely on the condition that it related to EVERYONE! They chose specific events and character choices that any one in their daily life would! 

Quarters 1-3 will focus strongly on Adobe Premiere CC and Quarter 4 will focus exclusively on Adobe After Effects CC introduction training.

TEAMWORK, TEAMWORK AND MORE TEAMWORK!!!!!!

You will fight, call each other name’s and SOMETIMES even think you may hate each other, but it all comes down to TEAMWORK.  Learning social skills is paramount to your success not only in high school but life in general as you enter the adult working force.  This course is heavily based on Team production that means each of you will be given jobs to perform to the best of your ability.  Your ability to work as a team will determine your group grade on all projects! Get to know your fellow students in class so you begin to know each others strengths and weaknesses ahead of time. Use this knowledge to lead your group to victory during the OSCAR’S where we vote on the best team productions and give out delicious prizes!
