SET PROTOCOL 2022 WINNERS TAKE NO PRISONERS!

When asked how their team achieved this years SET PROTOCOL CHALLENGE winning submission Caitlyn Musselman responded with," I guess we won because we're better than everyone else."

Gavin Feal also added," We wouldn't have won if it wasn't for me - I mean Jordan Velasquez held us back the entire time. We were lucky we made the win at all especially with unnecessary weight like Gabe Pullam and Jimmy Bevis."

Regardless of this teams internal drama they pulled off a successful submission with creative and fun visuals that connected with their audience.

REGULAR LAB HOURS:

The lab is here for us to work with and to create and practice our new found skills and techniques! Nothing makes me more proud than seeing students coming in before and after school to work on their own unique film/short story ideas! Equipment is not to be taken out of the lab without my express permission during and after school hours. Only fourth year students (Fourthies) are allowed to check out equipment to film outside of the school campus during portfolio productio

The Annual Set Protocol Challenge marks our now experienced NOOB teams transition into bigger more complicated projects. Primarily producing a 1 minute tutorial video teaching next years NOOBS all about Set Protocol!

5-DAY SUBMISSION AND MAKE UP WORK POLICY!!!

MAKE UP WORK IS FOR BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL - NEVER DURING CLASS.

Be sure you are aware of the Regular Lab hours. ( See below . . . hint hint.)

YOUR GRADE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

NOT YOUR PARENTS. NOT ME. YOU!

Make the conscious choice to keep track of your grades by becoming independent and responsible. If you have an absence it is your responsibility to make up that work in a timely manner.

DO NOT approach me at the end of the 9 weeks regarding concerns about an assignment you did not make up in a timely manner.
"I FORGOT" is NOT an acceptable excuse.
PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY. Try it! Its pretty awesome.
DO CHECK THE DAILY TAKE when you are absent I am constantly posting daily assignments. I ALSO MAKE CHANGES AND UPDATES! KEEP UP!
You have FIVE DAYS with an EXCUSED ABSENCE to make up any missed assignments. Except for any projects assigned after the first Premiere Pro Certification exam! (I no longer consider you rookies at that point)

CLASS PROJECT POLICIES FOR YEAR 1 STUDENTS:

AS LONG AS YOU SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT THE DAY IT IS DUE, YOU HAVE FIVE DAYS TO REVISE YOUR PROJECT FOR FULL CREDIT. ( Often in the real world your work will go through revision phases were you must adhere to feedback and changes to your work this procedure allows you to become accustomed to this very ADULT reality.)
IF YOU DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR WORK ON TIME - YOU FORFEIT YOUR FIVE DAYS AND -20PTS WILL BE DEDUCTED EVERY DAY IT IS LATE UNTIL YOU HAVE A ZERO. (UNLESS YOU HAVE AN EXCUSED ABSENCE)
THIS POLICY WILL ONLY BE IN PLACE UNTIL YOU TAKE YOUR CERTIFICATION EXAM AFTERWARDS THIS RULE WILL NO LONGER APPLY.
