Principal's Message
We enjoyed a beautiful and meaningful Remembrance Day Ceremony on November 11th. Many thanks to Mrs. Lombardi, Mme Elliott and their students who hosted the liturgy, to Mrs. Lapindea, Mme Monique and the choir for the beautiful music and singing. A special thank you to Mr. Dey for representing the many people serving in the military today. Mr. Dey informed us of all the achievements towards upholding peace and human rights across Canada and the world. We give thanks to the Canadian Armed Forces for the peace and freedom we are privileged to enjoy in Canada.
Progress Reports and Parent Educator Conferences
The Initial Communication of Learning (Kindergarten) and Progress Reports (Gr. 1-6) are now available through the Parent Portal. All parents/guardians are encouraged to schedule an interview (in-person or by phone) with their child’s teacher. Our interview evening will be held on Thursday, November 20th from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. Please contact the teacher directly if you have not yet scheduled an interview.
Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week
Next week is Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week. Educators will be reviewing the WITS Program with students as well as building bridges through action. Each day staff and students will have a daily action question to reflect upon and follow up class conversation about how they can take action to help prevent bullying and develop positive relationships.

Annual Christmas Store – Donations Needed!
Wait… how is Christmas almost here already?! 🎄🎁🌲
Our Annual Christmas Store is happening on Friday, December 12th, and we’re getting ready to turn the gym into a festive bargain shop! Students can pick out gifts for their families — just $1 per item — and our trusty volunteer “elves” will wrap them up, ready for the tree. Proceeds go to supporting families in need this holiday season.
We need your help stocking our store's shelves. If your closets are bursting with “stuff” that no longer sparks joy (or you’re secretly clearing space for new toys and gadgets), we’d love your donations!
We’re collecting new or gently used toys, crafts, décor, books, mugs, games, activities and other giftable goodies. We are especially in need of gifts for dads/uncles and pets as well as gift wrapping supplies (paper, bags, ribbons, tags, etc.)!
🧺Drop them off in the big bin at the front office anytime this month.
Your donations help kids experience the joy of giving — and help families in need this Christmas. ♥️
Stay tuned for more info about the holiday store, gingerbread bread making and opportunities to volunteer!

Grade 4 Bible Ceremony
When: Tuesday November 25th, 2025
at 1:30 pm (Learning Commons)
Dear Family Members,
Our students are preparing for an important part of their spiritual journey; gaining a closer relationship with Jesus by reading about His life and teachings through the Bible.
An important part of your child’s journey will be the gift of his/her own personal Bible. This special gift, kindly purchased by our Convent Glen Catholic School Council, will be presented to our grade fours at an informal ceremony on Friday October 25th with Father Martin. The ceremony will take place at our school in the Learning Commons at 1:30 p.m. You are invited to attend.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lepindea, Mme. Gauthier and Ms. Horsford
