Students will learn strategies to develop a growth mindset.
Students will engage in activities that promote a growth mindset.
Procedure:
Introduction (10 minutes):

Activity 1: Growth Mindset Discussion (15 minutes):
Divide students into buddy pairs, with older students paired with younger students.
Have each buddy pair discuss what they think a growth mindset means and why it's important.
Encourage older students to guide younger students in understanding the concept and sharing their own experiences.
Activity 2: Growth Mindset Challenges (20 minutes):
Distribute sticky notes to each student.
On the whiteboard or chart paper, write down different challenges or obstacles that students might face in school (e.g., difficult math problems, friendship issues, trying a new sport).
Have each buddy pair choose one challenge and brainstorm ways to approach it with a growth mindset.
Students write down their ideas on the sticky notes and stick them next to the corresponding challenge on the board.
Discuss the strategies as a group, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, using different strategies, and seeking help when needed.
Activity 3: Growth Mindset Poster (20 minutes):
Provide each buddy pair with art supplies and a large sheet of paper or poster board.
Instruct students to create a poster that represents the key elements of a growth mindset (e.g., effort, perseverance, learning from mistakes).
Encourage creativity and collaboration between the buddies as they work together to design their poster.
Hang up the posters around the classroom or school once they are completed.
