Tier 3 = students with several levels of chronic absence (missing 20% or more of school in the past year or during the first month of school) and/or face a risk factor (like involvement in the child welfare or juvenile justice system, homelessness or having a parent who has been incarcerated).
Working together with families is key to ensuring every student thrives. Let's make consistent communication and support a cornerstone of our approach!
Prioritize regular and positive family contact: Let's make it a point to connect with families in positive ways on an ongoing basis.
Regularly review our collaborative plans: We'll check in periodically with families to ensure our agreed-upon strategies are working well.
Uphold our commitment to family support: We are dedicated to providing the support we've promised to our families.
Prompt follow-up for every absence: When a student is not in school, our designated staff will reach out to the family to understand the situation and offer assistance.
Attendance Incentive Plans: Create an individualized attendance success plan with the student. Provide positive reinforcement using the student’s preferred incentive when the student makes progress towards the goal(s)
