The goal of our project is to test and find the best, suitable rover for mapping a planet. In this case, mars.
Why was this you mission? This was our mission because, when the rovers are mapping mars, you do not want them to get stuck or malfunction while mapping.
We did 2 experiments in one the first one is different rovers to see which one would do better on martian terrain and the second one was to see which one would do better in wind. We only used 2 rovers for this experiment.
Me and my team did not use any grade 9 science in my project from what I know.
Visit the project website at this link.
How does your project fit or connect with the other projects in the class? our project connects with other projects because our project is about mapping, which is a certain tool you use to navigate somewhere you are. and especially on a new planet that would be very useful.
How successful was your action (its OK if it didn't go as planned)? Did you meet your goal? we did not meet our goal. I say this because we did not finish the work in time, and that there was not enough quality produced.
It didn't go as what we planned but we managed to do something else and it turned out to be successful.
What contributed to your groups success (or lack of success)? our lack of success was the lack of communication, interest, and quality production.
What would you do differently if you could?
If I could do this differently, I would make the terrain on a flat cardboard than in a box. We would also add codes to a micro bit and put it on the rovers to make it move around the terrain.
A next step for our mars rovers is it should have the ability to pick up and identify types of mars rocks.
People in the future when our technology is so advanced that we would look back and see how far we've come as a human race they will look back at the mars space camp grade 9 science group and put us in the hall of fame so future students should continue on our project to me in said hall of fame
Its an important part to pursue because we are eventually going to mars and its best to have the best gear possible
I would like it to go into satellites because our project is on mapping the reasoning behind this is the fact that satellites are the best way to map this is how we have mapped out many planets in the solar system
Each member of the group should reflect on what they learned. You may have learned some neat stuff about science, but you also learned some other great skills like time management, goal setting, collaboration, and problem solving.
