Late August (Date TBD): Bus Loop Visit to pick up backpack tag, drop off supplies

Late August: Email sent to Kindergarten Families from Educator Team to share class placement and start-up information

September 1 2026: First day of school for all students
Join us for our Kindergarten Open House!
Who: Children who are registered for Kindergarten starting in September 2026 at Steve MacLean, and their families
When: Drop in any time between 5:30 and 6:30pm
on May 12th
Why: Meet our educators, connect with other families and our Parent Council, and see our Kindergarten Wings and classrooms.
We can't wait to see you!
Registration is Open!
Registration is now open for the 2026/2027 school year. If your child will turn 4 by December 31st, 2026, you can register them for Kindergarten.
OCDSB Kindergarten Online Registration
The School Boundaries / Locator Tool tool will help you to determine if your address falls within the boundaries for SMPS.
The OCDSB Family Reception Centre is designed to help you if English is not your first language. Staff can also assist with new Permanent Residents to Canada, families returning from abroad, or those transferring from a French language school board. You can call the Family Reception Centre at (613) 239-2416 to make an appointment.
