Mindfulness

What Is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness means paying full attention to something. It means slowing down to really notice what you're doing.

Being mindful is the opposite of rushing or multitasking. When you're mindful, you're taking your time. You're focusing in a relaxed, easy way.

In our classroom, we have chosen the word "Paisible" or "Peaceful" to represent us. When I asked the students why that word, they say:

"Because we breathe"

"Because we use the rain stick"

"Because we are calm"

Here are some activities that we do in class to promote the peacefulness. Feel free to do them when you need to take a moment to refocus.
