CLEAR Leadership Team

CLEAR is supported by staff and student leadership including: 

Director (CLEAR and OUR)

The Director oversees all operations and manages the CLEAR team. This role ensures the center aligns with its mission of promoting equity and inclusion in STEM education and supervises staff and student workers. Abby Aresty is the interim director of CLEAR and OUR for AY 2025-26. 

CLEAR STEM Fellow

The STEM Fellow co-manages student workers, assists with daily operations, and supports assessment and event planning. Located within the CLEAR space, the STEM Fellow plays a crucial role in maintaining the center’s functionality and providing on-site support. Bennett Elder is the CLEAR STEM Fellow for AY 2025-26. 

CLEAR Student Coordinators

Student Coordinators directly support CLEAR mentors through training, observations, and ongoing guidance. They ensure mentors have the resources and support needed to effectively assist their peers. Arev Lima Boudakian, Lindsey Chou, Julia Ludwig, Lily Najmulski, and Namu Makatiani are the CLEAR student coordinators for AY 2025-26. 

BRANCHES Community Leaders

BRANCHES Community Leaders are a team of students who help plan and execute events aimed at building a strong, inclusive STEM community. They work collaboratively to create programs and activities that foster engagement and support among students.

STEM Program Coordinator (OUR)

The STEM Program Coordinator in the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) co-manages the BRANCHES team and assists in planning events co-organized by CLEAR. This role helps integrate CLEAR’s initiatives with broader campus programs, enhancing the overall impact on the STEM community. Clea Gunn Thomas is the current OUR STEM Program Coordinator.
