March 20th
I made a lemon drizzle birthday cake with mini meringues on the side for my mum's friend. I baked it in a wine shaped tin, then put white fondant around the whole cake but added a pink marble effect to the piece that went in the middle.I piped a chocolate ‘happy 40th’ in the middle and drizzled chocolate on the top for the cork. And then added pink edible hearts for decoration.

I attempted to make honeycomb, and added some chocolate on the ends of some. I think it went quite well but next time i am going to mix in the baking soda for longer to make the mixture bigger because I don’t think I mixed it for long enough.

11th April
I made sugar cookies with my sister who is 8. I showed her how to form, roll and cut the dough, which was very sticky so we had to use a lot of flour. Next time we are going to ice them and decorate them to make them look more appealing. They taste very good :)

17th April
I made a peach and apple pie. I made the pastry myself and added sugar, lemon juice and a pinch of salt to the fruit for the filling. The result was good, however I should have added flour to the filling to make it a bit thicker because the middle was a bit liquidy. Also next time I will try and make the outside of the pie a bit more presentable.

Geo Fun Activities
Geo Fun Activities
Many of our students have been getting involved in the range of “Geo Fun” activities. One included the task of getting out in the garden and taking a nature photo with the theme of water. (SEE Isobel Dupee’s 2 photos in this folder as well as Kiera Attard in year 8).Summer Figg (year 7) has been growing some plants in her ‘wild patch’ and has taken some fantastic photos of her endeavours.See below.

Despite the fact that The Oathall Bakeoff had to be cancelled due to the school closure, please admire Natasha's Olympics themed cake she made anyway!
