Have you ever considered Oakland Community College?
It's a great way to get college experience, whether you are looking for a 4 year college degree or just an associate degree.
allows 30 credits of community college work to transfer to ANY public and many private colleges and universities in Michigan.
The 30 credits consist of: 1 English course, 1 Communications course, 1 Mathematics course, 2 Social Science courses, 2 Fine Arts/Humanities courses, and 2 Natural Science courses.
The specific courses you can choose from are listed on OCC's MTA page.
🚨This means you can take the 9 courses at OCC for free or take them at MSU for $1000 a credit hour and they will count towards your Bachelor's Degree either way. (ie it's a 30,000 savings for the same credit 💰)
If you're into saving money, OCC is a great place to take your core classes and transfer them (even if you aren't interested in an Associate degree).
A lot of colleges will also allow you to transfer other courses as well. The Michigan Transfer Network has a lot of information about what credits will transfer from OCC to different colleges.
It's easy and there is no fee to apply.
