Dr. Reznar’s research lab ultimately seeks to help others achieve optimal health and wellbeing.
We are working with the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). Lifestyle medicine emphasizes use of evidence-based practice to treat, reverse, and prevent chronic disease through the combination of six practice pillars: (1) plant-predominant diet, (2) physical activity, (3) stress reduction, (4) restorative sleep, (5) social support, and (6) reduction of risky substances. Lifestyle medicine board certification is available to physicians and other health professionals.
In addition, we are working with a number of food pantries in the Metro Detroit and Baltimore areas. Food pantries face many challenges, including recruitment and training of staff/volunteers, communications with staff/volunteers and neighbors, providing neighbor choice, and emergency preparedness. We are developing, implementing, and evaluating the Support Application for Food Pantries (SAFPAS) mobile smartphone application.
Dr. Reznar is currently engaged in research related to plant-based nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and food pantry support.

Former Research Assistants
I have immense gratitude and admiration for the students who worked so hard and helped me so much during their time at OU as research assistants.
