If you aren't tired of me yet, here are some other tidbits 🌞
Lifestyle medicine. I am passionate about it and I practice what I preach!
I have been vegan since December 2006 (that's 17 years 😉). My diet is not 100% Whole Food Plant-Based, but I am about 80% of the way.
I LOVE physical activity. 💪 Most often, I run (sort of reluctantly) and do mixed conditioning workouts (enthusiastically), currently at TrvFit. Sometimes, yoga.
Meditation is very important to me. I try to do 20-minute silent meditation at least 3 times a week.
I am always working on self-improvement. I want to make the world a more positive, optimistic, supportive, healthy place.
Animals. I love em all! I currently have 2 extremely entitled and spoiled cats. I try to visit farm sanctuaries like Barn Sanctuary in Chelsea, MI as often as I can.
Traveling. I have been to numerous places in the US and Europe. My favorites are Portugal, San Diego, Italy, Alaska, New York, Chicago, Baltimore, but there are so many more great ones!
Cooking (and eating). I am a recovering vegan cookbook hoarder. Nothing is better than a recipe coming together and tasting stupendous, especially when enjoying with loved ones.
Reading. I enjoy fiction more in my non-work time. I usually have 1-2 fiction and 3-ish non-fiction books going at once.
Social. I live in Berkley, MI (near Royal Oak, Ferndale, Hungtington Woods, and Birmingham) and enjoy the restaurants and bars in the area, especially those that are vegan-friendly. I enjoy spending time with the fantastic friends and family I am grateful to have in my life.
Outdoors. Nature is beautiful and healing! I revel in summer, sun, water, trails, and the freshwater beaches all over Michigan.
