Note: You will need to supply your own felt, stuffing, buttons, etc for this project.
Open your original file
Then Save As
You should include your name and project type i.e. yourname_character_lasercutter_softtoy.svg
Separate the different pieces and add in the stitch holes. In this example for yarn I have used 3mm holes.
Important! Before finishing the project make all the shapes transparent fill with a black line. Ask your teacher to check this.
When this is done save it in your space and then put in on a USB to use on the laser cutter.
Make sure to label it with your name and "soft toy" as well as any other instructions.
Import the parts into Beambox. The settings for cutting fabric work for felt. Cut the shapes on the N9 lasercutter.
Stitch together the pieces using the holes as a guide. There are lots of ways to do this but in this example a simple under over stitch using yarn worked and then alternating this on the second pass. Remember that before fully sewing it up that you stuff your creation.
It is easiest to attach accessories and eyes before sewing together the main body
