Youth Advisory Board

The youth advisory member includes young adults who are current leaders in their organization (Brighton Park Neighborhood Council, Communities United, Immigrant Youth Coalition, Make the Road New Jersey, Make the Road New York, or Philadelphia Student Union) to help ensure that we recruit a large sample of young people from each organization, and to analyze, interpret and report on study data back to their respective organization.

• Remind members of your organization about upcoming study recruitment events and deadlines, remind members to return signed assent and consent forms to participate in the raffle
• Give the recruitment manager's info to members who have questions Give updates during chapter and citywide meetings about how many members have completed the assent process
• Use social media to spread the news about the study and remind members of deadlines
• Keep in contact with recruitment managers about the recruitment progress
• Plan and execute End of year study participant celebration program with recruitment manager's

• Meet 2 times virtually for 90 minutes with YAB members from other organizations to analyze and reflect on data together.
• Meet by phone or in person with the recruitment managers to plan a session to share data with your organization
• Facilitate data-sharing session at your organization
• Debrief data-sharing session with recruitment manager
