The advisory network includes scholars, practitioners and funders of youth organizing and youth development that are instrumental in ensuring that the study findings have an impact on policy and practice. The YOT research team will regularly consult with the network for advice on conceptual and methodological dilemmas and for critical feedback on our analysis, findings and recommendations. The advisory network shares relevant developments from their own fields, connects us with colleagues who can provide specific expertise, and provides critical feedback on our research design, analysis, findings and recommendations. The advisory network members supports us in developing and executing a dissemination plan that will maximize the reach and relevance of our findings to multiple audiences.
We convene semi-annual videoconferences and set up a listserv for posing questions and sharing resources. Advisory network members are available for intermittent phone consultation and to provide occasional verbal or written feedback on draft research products.
