180 servos! And setting them up with new big wheel concept.
AND ALSO BUILDING STUFF.
After learning about state functions, I converted our separate blocks of code into individual states for the project. We put together the new wheels we would use (also reducing the number of icons from 4 to 3) and then used them to create a scale for the machine itself.
Blueprinting and measuring were done, and the pieces were cut.
A few tests were made to make sure they all fit together nicely and then some were glued.
The next step was figuring out how to connect the potentiometers into the board. We found caps - dials - and found a way to stick them through the cardboard. The wiring got pretty messy but leds and a side push button were also installed.

We tried to solder wires to the button, but instead decided to use alligator clips for convenience.

The potentiometers were giving some difficulty with the Female wires staying connected to them. We tried taping them together, but it still wouldn’t work for one of them. We used alligator clips as a last resort on the one that was giving problems. The others worked fine.

Using state functions, once the lights were on, the button would become pressable, which would rotate the wheel.
