On this day, we checked out 2 step motors and tried to figure out the wheels system. After realizing the wheels that connected to the step motors were the perfect size to attach to the cardboard cylinders we found, I wrapped the cylinders with white paper for later designing and connected the step motors to the circuit.
After playing around with motorspeeds and figuring out how to have a count timer in the loops (we found out arduino cannot run loops in parallel), the motors were rotating jankly. After having to repeatedly disconnect the motors due to overheating and code not working properly, we decided to call it a day.
The weight of the step motors made it look unlikely that we would use them for the final project.
