Teaching Excellence & Innovation
The Office of Teaching Excellence and Innovation (TEI) is the first stop for Arts & Science faculty looking for support for their teaching, including but not limited to the use of educational technology. The team consults with faculty on questions and projects of all sizes and designs engaging materials and experiences that have the potential to cross departments and disciplines
Contact the team at asteaching@nyu.edu or use the Liaison Finder to find your department’s teaching and learning design specialist. Liaisons are excited to welcome new instructors! Reach out to your liaison with any question you have about getting started in the classroom -- nothing is too big or too small
The Registrar Classroom Directory provides information about your classrooms and if the room does not display, please reach out to your TEI Liaison for directories of classrooms not controlled by the Registrar (such as Arts & Science classrooms or SPS Classrooms in 7 E. 12th St)
This Quick Start Guide will help you get your course sites up in Brightspace. We also recommend taking a look at our Course Site Lookbook to see how other faculty members have designed their courses, and especially our complete set of instructional tool guides
The Faculty/Advisor Center is a good resource for getting started with Albert, NYU's student information system
