at The New York Public Library

The New York Public Library's TechConnect program was created to meet an increased demand for technology training and computer education. Our goal is to help people of all ages develop their skills in computers and technology in order to connect with family and friends, advance their careers, and expand their horizons.

TechConnect offers more than 80 technology classes online and at libraries throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island—all absolutely free.

From learning the basics of how to use a computer to mastering essential computer business programs, there is a class for all students from beginner to advanced, including series classes for those who want more in-depth knowledge.

Technology Classes

Classes for all ages and skill levels are offered in person and online. They are held throughout the day, including some evenings and weekends.

For up-to-date schedules, and classes taught in other languages, visit nypl.org/tech-connect, or ask at your local library. Classes require advanced registration.

TechConnect offers a range of online resources, including video tutorials on YouTube and access to class handouts in English, Spanish, Chinese, French, and Russian.
