Anyone with a library card!
What’s included?
The Chromebooks come packaged in a laptop case with the following components: Chromebook, Charger, Mouse, Mouse Pad, and quick start guide. When you open Google Chrome on these devices, they come with a variety of pages bookmarked already including the TechConnect website.
How long can I borrow a Chromebook?
Up to 3 months. The initial loan period is 1 month. Chromebooks are eligible for up to two renewals for a total checkout period of 3 months.
Privacy & Wiping Devices
These Chromebooks are managed by the New York Public Library and will only perform actions permitted by NYPL. None of your files or actions will be saved when you close the device, so be sure to save any files you might need onto cloud storage or a USB storage device. Please note that all of your information will be wiped every time you close the lid of your Chromebook.

Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library
To checkout a Chromebook from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library in Manhattan, join an Open Lab.
During checkout, you must sign the Chromebook Loan Agreement and schedule a return appointment via this Calendly link. You will receive an email confirming your return appointment. If you choose to renew your Chromebook, please renew online via the library catalog and reschedule your return appointment via the link in the confirmation email. Do not return your Chromebook to any information or circulation desk.
