What is included in my portfolio?

Portfolio Items

Your portfolio is a culmination of your preparation for college applications and your future career with ICCAN. You can work on these items with your Hub Librarian during one-on-one sessions, or on your own. Once an item is completed, please send a copy to your Hub Librarian and they will add it to your Requirements Tracker. 

Portfolio Requirements for all ICCAN Teens 

• Gain college exposure by attending one College Fair or Panel (virtual or in person), or go on a college tour (in person)

• Gain career exposure by attending a Career Fair or Panel (virtual or in person)

• Financial Literacy Program (This must be a program about budgeting, financial aid, money management, or scholarships)

• Career Research Worksheet

• ICCAN Reflection (to be completed at the end of program and discussed in final one-on-one)

10th Grade Students

• Career Personality Assessment

• Building Resume worksheet

• Brag sheet

• College Essay Brainstorming

• College Research Worksheet

• Summer extracurricular plan or goal

11th Grade Students

• Career Personality Assessment

• Preliminary college or post-secondary program list

• Resume 

• General cover letter

• College Essay Brainstorming or Personal Statement draft

• Interview Preparation Worksheet

12th Grade Students

• Choosing a Career Path Assessment

• College list or list of accredited trade/certificate programs
