How do I receive credit? What kind of programs are there?
One of the requirements for the ICCAN program is completing 30 participation credits. Along with attending one-on-one sessions, you can attend CCP programs (available virtually & in-person).
Note: You cannot receive credit for 2 programs that take place at the same time (i.e. be logged into two different Google Meets). If your hub librarian notices this, you will only receive credit for 1 program.
Remember! If you want to attend a CCP program/event, you will need to register first.
If you attend a CCP program hosted by your Hub Librarian, you do not need to fill out a worksheet or complete any additional steps.
If you attend a CCP/NYPL program hosted by someone other than your Hub Librarian, please make sure to let the Librarian know that you are an ICCAN student and what branch you are from (check out the locations here) so they can verify that you attended the program but make sure to also contact your Hub Librarian (find contact info here) to let them know that you attended so you can receive credit for being there.
Always double check the program information to see if it is an in-person or virtual program and if you have to pre-register to attend the on-line program.
This also includes One-on-One Meetings with your Hub Librarian. All participants should attend at least 1-2 meetings per month.
