Today you will compose the elements of your poster. You will also create an MLA format citation of your primary source of information.

CREATE A CITATION IN GOOGLE DOCS

Open a Google Doc

Select the Citation tool to create a citation. The workspace will open up on the right.

Fill in the spaces for author, name of article, name of website, name of organization, date published, and date accessed. If any information is not available, leave it blank.

IF YOU USE WIKIPEDIA AS A SOURCE, YOU WILL RECEIVE A ZERO FOR THE RUBRIC STANDARD.

USE COOLORS TO CREATE COLORS

  1. Use this website to choose colors that relate to each other.

  2. Click on the color you want to use to copy its hex code.

  3. Then, in your Google Drawing, choose either the background, or the shape, text, or outline that you would like to color.

  4. Select custom at the bottom of the color chooser.

  5. Paste the hex color into the box at the top.

  6. Voila! You changed the color of that element to the exact color in the palette!

FINISH YOUR COMPOSITION

  1. Does your composition include all the required elements? (Day 3)

  2. Do your colors belong together?

  3. Do you have a focal point?

  4. Did you leave spaces between elements, and between the elements and the edge of the composition?

  5. Are your elements aligned?

  6. Did you use the principles of art (left) to create your composistion?

  2. Go to file>Download>PNG and save the image to your computer.

  3. Open this slide deck.

  4. Make a slide.

  5. Insert the image of your drawing.
