Today you will make an AVATAR.

TEKS 1(B) create original works as a means of personal or group expression.

PIXTON

Click this link to our Pixton class, and sign in with your Google account. Then click the button to make an avatar!

MAKE YOURSELF

Now use the Pixton Avatar Creator to make your avatar.

Hint 1: It helps to look at the mirror or on your phone to get your features right. Ask your friends too.

Hint 2: A good way to match your skin color is to hold your arm up next to the chooser and see what matches. Your skin color is part of your identity.

LATER (OPTIONAL)

Throughout the year, you can return to Pixton and experiment with your avatar. If something about you changes, you can update your avatar by clicking your profile picture, or selecting "Edit my avatar" in settings.

You can also download all of your poses, and use them in presentations or chat messages or wherever you would like.

DOWNLOAD

Download your headshot and any poses that you might like to use.

You can also download a class photo with me, in different costumes. Awesome.

They will be stored in your downloads.

How To Turn in a File from your Drive.webm

TURN IT IN

Click this link to go to Google Classroom and turn in your avatar for this assignment. You will need to upload it from your computer.

MAKE SURE YOU NAME YOUR FILE WITH YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME.

If you don't know how to turn an assignment in, watch this tutorial. Ms. Holton made the tut when all the kids were online. You can ignore all the blah blah blah about that.

COMIC STRIP MAKER

Optional: Play with the Pixton comic strip maker.

You can use Pixton to make comic strips for class projects and for fun.

The items with locks on them aren't available though. Sad Face.
