All students wishing to participate in leadership roles must be in GOOD academic standing verified by Academic Affairs and outlined in the Student Handbook.
To verify candidate eligibility, Student Life requests all students to complete the following form with the Office of Academic Affairs. This must be completed prior to nominating yourself for any open position. Academic Affairs may request that students reach out to Academic Enrichment Specialists (AES) to discuss future involvement prior to receiving their approval.
Complete the Eligibility Form and SGA will submit on your behalf. Please allow 2 weeks to hear back and return the form.
AA will either send notice of decision or the signed form back to the student.

Good to go! If your name appears on the dashboard, you can run for open positions. Please do not send your forms as proof.

RSOs receiving nominations should check the candidate dashboard to verify academic standing of nominated students. All candidates in an election must have academic approval prior to voting. Should an RSO run an election without formally verifying all candidates, Student Life and respective RSO advisor wil be notified.
All RSOs must submit their updated member list at least 2 weeks prior to running an election.
This is to ensure all RSOs are in compliance with RSO Bylaws during an election. As a reminder only members of the RSO are permitted to vote in elections.
RSO elections should be held in a timely manner to ensure that a transition or mentorship period has been accounted for.
Elections should only be concluded once the majority of members have successfully submitted their votes.
At the conclusion of your election, RSOs are expected to upload their voting records and details of the elections.
SGA strives to ensure all elections are run fairly and equal opportunities are provided to all candidates.
Class elections must include oversight from either the SGA Executive Parliamentarian or member of Student Life.
Sitting presidents should send an email indicating when the elections.
