個人簡介
Experimental cardiovascular researcher with doctoral training in Physiology and specialized expertise in vascular smooth muscle biology, cardiovascular pharmacology, endothelial signalling, and the mechanistic investigation of vascular dysfunction using both in vitro and in vivo rodent models. My research focuses on cardiovascular biology, particularly the molecular and pharmacological actions of bioactive natural compounds in hypertension, endothelial dysfunction, and cardiovascular disease progression. My long-standing interest in cardiac and vascular signalling, especially the effects of pharmacological agents on the electrical activities of the heart and blood vessels, has motivated my pursuit of advanced training in electrophysiological techniques such as patch-clamp electrophysiology, optogenetics, and neural circuit interrogation at the Lien Lab. I am especially interested in the laboratory’s innovative approaches to studying neuronal circuits involved in anxiety, emotion, and behaviour, and how these neural pathways may interact with cardiovascular regulatory centres to influence vascular and autonomic function. By integrating my background in cardiovascular physiology with advanced neurophysiological methodologies, I aim to expand my understanding of neurocardiovascular communication and the mechanisms linking neuronal activity to cardiovascular regulation.
