璨庭在國立彰化師範大學獲得生物學學士學位，之後在國立陽明大學攻讀神經科學博士學位。在連實驗室，燦庭目前正在建立光遺傳學工具，以研究神經元與膠質細胞的相互作用。在實驗室之外，他喜歡觀鳥、旅行和攝影。
