My name is Mrs. Guthrie. I am thrilled to be part of the Northwestern Lehigh staff! This will be my eighth year teaching. I've taught everything from kindergarten through third grade in the West Chester Area School District, but spent most of my time in second grade. You might remember me from teaching first grade last year, but I am ecstatic to be joining the fourth grade team! This past school year, I had my daughter Mackenzie. She is such a sweet girl! I am sure you will hear a lot of stories about her this year!
I graduated from West Chester University in 2013 with my degree in Early Grades Preparation (PreK-4) with minors in reading and math. After graduating, I began teaching in the West Chester Area School District.
In 2015 I went back to WCU to get my Masters in Reading after falling in love with teaching literacy! I graduated from WCU with my Masters of Education in Reading with my Reading Specialist Certificate. Go Rams!
I am one of five children and my husband is one of four. We LOVE spending time with our families! We love going to the beach together, and getting together on the weekends. I also enjoy cooking, baking, crafting, traveling and reading a good book!
My husband and I got married in June of 2017. Soon after, we adopted our puppy, Sadie! We love to take Sadie for walks, cuddle with her and spoil her!
