About Mrs. Metzger

Hello! My name is Mrs. Metzger and I am a 6th grade math and science teacher on Team Explorers at Northwestern Lehigh Middle School. I have been at the middle school for 18 years. I began at NWLMS as a full time substitute in 2004. I spent three years teaching sixth grade math on the Pathfinder team, before settling in with seventh grade math on Team Mosaic for over 13 years. I'm now back in 6th grade and so excited to teach math again and science on Explorers!

I am also a graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School. That means that I also went to NWLMS! If you get a chance, I bet you could find my picture in an old (but not too old!!!) yearbook in our middle school library. I even get to work with some of the teachers I had when I was a student here. In 2004, I graduated from Kutztown University and in 2012 I obtained a Master's degree through Wilkes University.

In my free time, I like to go geocaching, hike, swim, and spend time with my husband,  and two daughters, Addilyn and Sadie. Addilyn is 11 years old, and starting sixth grade this year at NWLMS. Sadie is 8 years old and starting third grade at Northwestern Elementary! Mr. Metzger teaches science at Blue Mountain High School and is the assistant coach for the Northwestern Lehigh Girls' Soccer team. We bleed black and gold! 🖤💛

I can't wait to meet each of you and learn about your interests! I'm looking forward to a fun and successful school year! :)
