My name is Tracy Heffelfinger and I have been teaching within the Northwestern Lehigh School District since 2007. I am a 2004 graduate from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor's degree in the Science of Education. As of 2011, I completed my Master's degree in Education from Cabrini College. I love and value the art of teaching and feel it is one of my greatest passions in life. I have taught 5th grade the past 15 years at Weisenberg Elementary and I am very excited to return back to teaching 6th grade at the Middle School.
What you don't know about me is that I am very committed to Crossfit. I participated in my first "Festivus for the Rest of Us" competition back in April, 2022. In February 2023, I completed my L1 Crossfit Course training. Recently, on July 22nd, I accomplished my 1000th Crossfit class. As a result, I was able to create my own benchmark workout (named after me) that will be programmed into the Freewill Crossfit community. I love a challenge and pushing myself to do better, work harder, and overcome obstacles. Before I discovered Crossfit, I was a tournament disc golf player through the PDGA (#47521). My passion for disc golf has always been with me. As a result of applying for grants funded by the NWLEF and EDGE Program, we now have a 9 hole disc golf course installed on the Middle School Campus. In addition to the course, we have 5 portable discgolf baskets, drivers, mid-ranges, and putters for students to use and practice with. Below are two videos educating the students and community about disc golf and the reveal of the on-campus 9 hole disc golf course.
I look forward to this opportunity to work with your child (children) at the Middle School as we embark on this next chapter in life. May your 6th grade experience be inspiring, motivating, and AMAZING! 💛🖤
