I was actually part of the first 5th-grade class to be in the middle school when it opened. I graduated from Northwestern Lehigh High School in 2000.
I spent two years at West Chester University, and I then decided I missed home too much. That's when I transferred to Kutztown University and earned my degree in Elementary Education.
After graduating, I became a building substitute teacher at the middle school and started taking graduate classes. I earned my master's degree in Special Education from Wilkes University. After spending fifteen years teaching 5th grade, I decided it was time for a new adventure. I am thrilled to be back at the middle school where I began my teaching career. There is no place like home!
Although I LOVE every minute I spend in the classroom, my family is my everything. We are a family of four that loves to explore new places and is constantly on the go. My husband teaches at the high school and coaches football, Haley is starting 12th grade, and Chase is in 9th grade. We have a beast named Emmy. She is a lovable Saint Dane. Our other dog, Jax, is a lab/boxer mix and a ball of energy.
