SPACE SETTLEMENT DESIGN COMPETITION

THE STUDENT COMPANIES

The Competition organizers have “invented” a series of outstanding aerospace companies who may choose to compete for the Foundation Society contract for this Competition.

These companies are fully described in the Program Book you will be given when you arrive at the Competition. Their history, range of products, technological strengths and past accomplishments are described. These names and descriptions are based on real companies known today, but there is no relationship between the Competition companies and real companies – the Competition companies are all fictional and created for the purposes of the Competition only.

Your group may select one of the company names provided in the Program Book.

The choices you will have are:

Dougeldyne Astrosystems partnered with Flechtel Constructors

Grumbo Aerospace

Rockdonnell

Vereinigten Flugfahrten (a European company)

Vulture Aviation

You will be able to create a logo for your selected company, and can reasonably embellish the technical description given in the Program Book. Remember that your company will probably select many subcontract vendors (listed in the Program Book) to supply many of the needed services and products for your proposal. You may also “invent” additional subcontractors to supply products and services to your company.
