Hi, I'm Catherine and I am a senior in the web design program at Southwest Career Technical Academy.
For this assignment, we had to pick a song and incorporate it into an art piece by using only the lyrics of the song. I used the song "Imagine" by John Lennon and used lyrics to incorporate the bird (we the people) flying up to a new world filled with hope, equality and everyone accepting one another. At the bottom, the lyrics are black and negative, representing the world that we live in now, filled hate and war.
For this assignment, we had to pick a game that released within 10 years and incorporate it into how it would look as the cover of an NES cartridge. We also had to use big elements of the game, that would make people recognize the game once they see the cover. The game I chose was "Little Big Planet" and used the main protagonist as the main attraction on the cover.
For this assignment, we had to pick a historical figure and make an art piece of what they would do if they had the power of the infinity gauntlet. The historical figure I chose was Martin Luther King Jr., wanting everyone in the world to be equal. I had a wall, one side with people fighting, however the wall breaks and on the other side, people are holding hands representing the equality between the two. The wall breaking represents how we can go from racism and hate to equality and love.
