About Us

Who We are

Green Valley High school is a public high school in Henderson, Nevada.

Green Valley Robotics is an after school club open to all interested students who want to join our group of diverse student thinkers who are passionate about STEM education and Robotics.

We meet weeky in our workshop, which is the old home economics room and kitchen. In this space, we have a few shop tools and a small practice area where we set up practice elements for each years game.

Our team was fortunate enough to experience success our rookie year. Winning the Las Vegas Regional qualified us to attend the World Championship in Houston, TX. The students who were able to make the trip developed an unquenchable thirst for more FIRST Robotics. As rookies, we went in with the idea of making not the best overall robot, but the most dependable robot. We stuck to a simple but extremely study and reliable robot that proved it could keep up with hall of fame teams. The most valuable part about our rookie season was getting our feet wet and learning from other FRC teams.

Winning the 2019 Las Vegas Regional proved team 7425 are serious about FIRST Robotics.

We currently are partnering with TESLA, UNLV, NASA, Gene Hass Foundation, Stephen Philpott, and, NNSS to help us grow into a vetran team.

FUTURE PLANS

Long Term Goals

Green Valley Robotics sets high standards for everything we do. In order for continuous progress to happen, these standards must also be set when it comes to making goals. Our current goals are as follows:

• Become a team that is resourceful and helpful to the FIRST community.

• Become one of the leaders in Nevada for all aspects of FIRST.

• To have noticeable presence in our community giving back to those who support us.

• Promoting STEM to youth in our area.

• To be good ambassadors for the values of FIRST.

• Continue to recruit and train new members to make up for the students that graduate high school. We plan to achieve these goals by continuously improving on and using the strategies.
