Committed to Engineering Excellence
Green Valley High School, founded in 1991, is one of the top schools in the Clark County School District (CCSD). Located in Henderson, Nevada. Our school offers a strong academic program as well as extracurricular activities in athletics, music, and the arts. The school’s focus on academic excellence and innovation aligns perfectly with the mission of Green Valley Robotics, where students are encouraged to push boundaries and explore new ways of thinking.
Through a rigorous STEM curriculum, Green Valley High School has supported the growth of many successful students in engineering, technology, and science. Our robotics team is proud to be part of this tradition, working together to enhance our skills and contribute to the broader community.
Green Valley Robotics is a student-led FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team. Our team is committed to fostering a passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through hands-on experience in robotics. Since our inception, we’ve worked to inspire innovation, encourage learning, and provide opportunities for students to develop technical skills and leadership qualities.
Green Valley Robotics believes in the power of collaboration, teamwork, and community involvement. Our members, ranging from freshmen to seniors, come together to design and build competitive robots, solve real-world engineering problems, and compete in regional, national, and international events.
Build Robots: At the core of our team is the design, fabrication, and programming of robots for FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) events. Our team works tirelessly to create cutting-edge robots that can compete with the best in the world.
Mentorship & Outreach: We are committed to outreach by mentoring middle school students, conducting workshops, and engaging with local organizations to promote STEM education and inspire future engineers and leaders.
Community Engagement: We partner with local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other schools to create a broad network of support for our team and to foster a love for robotics and STEM within the community
Since 2019, Green Valley Robotics has made great strides, both in competition and community outreach. Our team has evolved with each season, overcoming challenges and expanding our impact. From regional awards to national recognition, we continue to build on our legacy of excellence.
2019: A strong season that included impressive showings at regional events and our participation at the FIRST Robotics World Championship.
2020: Despite the global pandemic, we adapted quickly to virtual formats, focusing on software development, robot design, and remote team collaboration.
2021: The return of in-person events saw our team refine their designs and strategies, competing in regional and district competitions while continuing to grow in size and skill.
2022: The team expanded outreach efforts, providing mentorship and workshops for middle school students and continuing to grow our community impact.
2023-Present: Our team has reached new heights with innovative robot designs, increased community engagement, and active participation in both regional and national events.
Green Valley Robotics is grateful for the support of our industry and community partners, who help us succeed by providing resources, funding, and expertise. Our partners include:
