Adapted Physical Education (APE) is a specialized service designed to support students with disabilities to fully participate in physical education alongside their peers. We work with students who are eligible for special education and attend general physical education classes, with a strong focus on their success and individual growth.
APE services are provided through a referral and assessment process that determines whether a student demonstrates motor skill deficits and requires additional support. Based on the goals outlined in each student’s Individualized Education Program, APE delivers monthly service minutes tailored to help students meet their physical education objectives.
We are proud to support every school in our district—including those in rural areas—ensuring that all students have access to an inclusive, accessible, and equitable physical education experience.
