School Plan of Operation

The school plan of operation consists of the school performance plan and the school strategic budget.

Important Dates for Winter/Spring 2020

January 15, 2020

  • 2020-2021 CCSD Budget Planning Tool and School Performance Plan template available to schools.
    • The CCSD Budget Planning Tool is accessed through the HCM PeopleSoft system, which employees access using their AD credentials.
    • The School Performance Plan can be accessed by principals at ccsdapps.net.

February 11

  • Last day to submit the Strategic Budget to the region for approval.

February 13

  • Final budgets must be approved by the region by close of business.

February 20

  • Last day to submit the School Performance Plan to the region for approval.

School Plan of Operation Approval Process

Approval of the School Plan of Operation

  • The principal creates the School Plan of Operation with the advice and assistance of the School Organizational Team.
  • The principal holds a public meeting to present the Plan of Operation.
  • The Plan of Operation is submitted to the Region Superintendent or School Associate Superintendent for review. The plan will also be reviewed by Budget and Human Resources staff.
  • When approved, the principal must post the plan of operation on the school website. All school budgets and school performance plans are made available on the CCSD reorg.ccsd.net Reports and Information page.

Appeal of the School Plan of Operation

  • If the School Organizational Team (SOT) objects to the Plan of Operation that is submitted by the principal for approval, the Team may submit a written request to the Region Superintendent or School Associate Superintendent to consider revision of the plan, based on recommendations of the Team. The appeal must be approved by majority vote of the Team, and the Chair or his/her designee must submit the request to the School Associate Superintendent.
  • If the Region Superintendent or School Associate Superintendent agrees with the recommendation of the SOT, he or she must notify the SOT of his or her intent to assist the principal with the revision of the plan of operation. Otherwise, the school
