Ed is a retired accountant. He worked for 3 years in the private sector. 7 years as a Nova Scotia provincial auditor and then transferred to the Federal Government as an HST auditor for 23 years.
He moved to Bridgewater with his wife and 2 children in 1996. It didn’t take Ed long to start volunteering. First, as the Treasurer of the Bridgewater Daycare, where is children attended. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts of Canada for 10 years. He was also involved as a coach, ice coordinator and Treasurer with Bridgewater minor hockey. As well, he coached his daughters minor hockey team in Lunenburg and the girls hockey team at Park View High School.
He join the Bridgewater Fire Department and held the positions of Treasurer, Lieutenant and then Captain. He and his wife moved to Pleasantville in 2011 and Ed transferred to Pleasantville and District Fire Dept. He worked his way through the ranks, and now holds the title of Chief.
