We all know that Firefighters do a lot for our community.

But who helps those that help us all?

The Nova Scotia Firefighters Benevolent Fund was founded with the mission to provide financial support to Firefighters and their families in times of acute crisis.

The NSFBF was founded in by a group of Nova Scotia Firefighters to provide a provincial benevolent fund for all Nova Scotia Firefighters.

Today the NSFBF is entirely staffed by volunteers from all over the province with the purpose of supporting those that help us all.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from business and the public.

The NSFBF provides financial assistance to active Nova Scotia Firefighters and their families in time of acute crisis such as sudden illness or injury in the line of duty.

The fund provides assistance under one of our three programs:

* Immediate Need

* Ongoing Need

* Extraordinary Need
