Class overview
This is a basic computer skills course for 6th graders. Because 6th grade students come from a variety of elementary schools we know that they come in with a variety of computer skills. This course is designed to make sure that all students have a similar foundation of computer skills moving forward.
Course Objectives
As a result of this course students will be able to...
Understand what it means to be a Good Digital Citizen.
Keep their Google Drive file system organized
Understand how to send and receive emails
Type using the home row (hopefully up to 30 wpm)
Understand basic computer vocabulary
Be adept at using Google Suite tools (Docs, Slides, Forms, Sheets, Sites)
Using Google Slides to create a Stop Motion Animation
Creating a Budget for a Fictional School Store
