Sixth Grade

In sixth grade, our students pull environmental concepts - from kindergarten to fifth grade - together in a year focused on stewardship. What can we do to help make northern Minnesota a better, more beautiful, healthier place for the plants and animals that live here...including humans! Our students actively participate in trail maintenance, forestry management activities to remove forest pests and invasive species, and tree planting and care in our forest and orchard. By the time they leave our school, NSCS hopes that these students see themselves as active, meaningful participants in taking care of our environment.
