Our first grade EE activities focus on insects: what they are, how they survive, why they are important, and how to help sustain their populations. Some of our most engaging activities in first grade focus on the monarch butterfly, their magnificent migration, and how we can improve their habitat and populations in Minnesota. Over the year, our first graders will learn about the stages of insect lifecycles, where we can find insects hibernating in the middle of winter, and how we can grow flowers to support populations of our pollinators.
