Additional Eligibility Requirements
To attend this program, students must meet Head Start eligibility requirements, which include:
A family income that is at or below the poverty level OR the family receives public assistance (SNAP, TANF, or SSI)
If a child is in foster care or is experiencing homelessness, they qualify regardless of income

Program Features
Full-day UPK program
32 Full-day spots available
Utilizes the CKLA, Eureka Math², Heggerty Phonemic Awareness, and Second Step Curricula
Up to 18 students per classroom with one lead teacher and two teaching assistants
For the 2025-26 school year, free school breakfast and lunch meals will be provided to all students in the NSCSD through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Program. Students will receive one free breakfast and lunch daily and may purchase extras with their meal account. Students may also bring a lunch from home
Outdoor playground and indoor gym space is available for gross motor movement daily
Students and families are invited to all Roxboro Road Elementary community events
Bus transportation is available for students or their sitters who live within the Roxboro Road Elementary School zone
