Some students may be considering applying to a private high school. Your Guidance Counselor is available to assist in this endeavor. Students who are interested in applying to private high schools must visit with their Guidance Counselor in prior to the Thanksgiving weekend to review Trottier's process and to pick up the appropriate paperwork including the "permission to send" and "student questionnaire" forms. The majority of private high schools ask for current (i.e. 8th grade) teacher recommendations. Students, rather than parents, must directly ask their teachers (in-person is best) for these recommendations and then provide the required forms to teachers by DECEMBER 6th. The required forms may be in electronic format or they may be in hard copy format. For hard copy forms that teachers must complete, please provide a stamped and addressed envelope along with the form.

Please Note: Some private schools (such as St. John's Prep) have an application deadline that falls before January. In this case, the private school forms must be submitted to the Guidance Office and/or teacher(s) by NOVEMBER 17th.
