Mr. David McGhee has been teaching at New Prairie High School since 2019. He grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and moved to Indiana in 2017. He attended Seton Hill University where he studied Studio Arts and Education. Mr. McGhee obtained his bachelors in 2008. He has taught all grade levels and finds High School the most fun because "I love my students' creativity".
He is also a scuba diving instructor through the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI).
He loves working with his hands and any outdoor activity. He is an avid sportsman and takes every chance he gets to go fishing or hunting. He also recycles pallet wood to create patio furniture.
Mr. McGhee teaches Intro and Advanced 3D art classes, painting, drawing, and AP Art History. He has been the department chair since 2022.
