Intro to 2D art students will learn the elements of art, color theory, learn about influential artists and art movements throughout history, and learn to use, care for, and implement different art mediums.
Art Medium - items used to create art. Includes items like graphite, charcoal, paint, ink, marker, paper, etc.
Elements of Art - are the visual components of art - line, shape, form, color, space, texture, and value.

Students will learn how to use color to convey emotion, create depth, and understand how colors work together.
Students will learn about major art movements includings abstract art, impressionism, pop art, etc. Students will also learn about influential artists within those movements. Students will learn how major events and societal issues create these major movements in art.
