K-2 students are definitely capable of using Google Classroom. But for this age group of students, Google Classroom will probably not be the focus tool.

For teachers in Grades 3 and 4, you will want to begin having your students use Google Classroom. Google Classroom should be the digital hub of your classroom. You can use Google Classroom to get your students quickly to a new website. You can use Google Classroom to distribute assignments to and collect assignments from your students. You can use Google Classroom for bell ringers, exit tickets, journal prompts and more. Teachers in Grades 3 and 4 will still have students use Seesaw especially when they have something they want parents to see. Teachers in Grades 3 and 4 will still have students use Clever to get where they need to go quickly. Incorporating the use of Google Classroom will prepare students for Middle School and beyond.
