As the stage crew, their job is to design and build the setting on the stage. Some plays have large budgets with extravagant setting pieces that rotate and move. Other plays, like ours, has a more modest budget that requires a more minimalist approach that requires some imagination. For some more information on the stage crew, look at the information below.

This crew is backstage during the run of the show. They often move set pieces known as scenery on and off stage between scenes. The also watch over different special effects like trap doors or flying backdrops and actors on and off stage. Often they also keep track of props for a show, and sometimes they will help out to run the lights and sounds for a play.

Some have an undergraduate degree in technical theatre, but this is not required.

This person or people create a design for each scene on stage (where each scene takes place). They will bring to life the world in which the characters live.

Design and build the the rooms, buildings, and outdoor spaces including all the individual pieces of furniture that fill them to show where the scene is happening.
They will work with the director to ensure that their vision for each scene is accomplished.
They must read the script
They will meet with team members to brainstorm set pieces and placement.

Open and completethe Google spreadsheet( Click HERE to get to the spreadsheet ) of the items/materials we have and need to complete the stage settings, the scene/s they are used in, the cost of the items/materials, and where to get/find them. You will need to make a copy BEFORE typing on it.
Don't forget, you will have to make, build, paint, gather any and all stage set pieces!
